Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on March 26th on the 26th of March, 1991. She's an American musician and singer. She was the first artist signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. The label debuted her first EP, Pho, in October 2016, and she was able getting noticed. Shea Butter Baby released her first album of studio work on 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading music to the Internet in 2012 when she launched her mixtape debut Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in the year 2013. In 2014 Ari Lennox released her single Bound, as well as the mixtape she self-released, Five Finger Discount. In July of 2015, she appeared on Omen's album Elephant Eyes on the track Sweat It Out. J. Cole was interested in her talents and was keen to collaborate in conjunction with Rihanna. Then, in December of 2008 it was revealed that Rihanna had been hired with Dreamville Records. Backseat was a track was written by her and Cozz for the collaborative album Revenge of the Dreamers II. The 21st of October, 2016, her EP Pho was released. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as opening the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017, in which she accompanied by EarthGang. She also appeared in two tracks, including the EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song and Bas's Icarus. Ari Lennox's first album Shea Butter Baby was released on the 16th of July, 2018. The debut single, called Whipped Cream of the album dropped on the 5th of September, 2018 and featured a a music video. She released her second single, Grampa on November 9. She then released on the 13th of November, two brand new singles called The No One and Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby. Shea Butter Baby later made appearances as a guest on Creed II album soundtrack alongside Cole. She dropped this track as a single to promote her debut titled Creed II on 26 February 2019. In February the music video for the track debuted. The song has received more than 3 million YouTube views in just a single week. In December of 2018, she was performing as a support act on From East Atlanta With Love Tour. From East Atlanta With Love Tour together with 6LACK.
