Kim Delaney, an American actor best known for her role as the character Detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series for which she won the Emmy Award. Her most well-known role is her performance on All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. She was born as the only child of a high-ranking executive in the United Auto Workers and a homemaker Delaney had a family of four brothers. Though she had a dream of becoming journalist, it was not until high school that she began modeling. She starred in 1981 as an innocent teenager in All My Children. Delaney is an acclaimed actor who has appeared featured in a variety of TV movies, and dramas. The professional life she has had is better than her personal life. The talented actress has had to deal with alcoholism throughout her life and has been through two divorces.
